Batismo Novas Canoas
On June 9th, we christened our new canoes that arrived from Brazil in mid-May.
That's right, Kahuna is growing and we are excited about this new phase.
There were 4 new canoes that will sail in the Portuguese waters, being 3 Oc6 and 1 Oc4 surf. That's right, a canoe suitable for surfing.
The Baptism took place at Praia da Conceição in Cascais and was simply exciting.
Hey, what are the names? Are you curious? Let's go:
Oc6 Rapa Nui / Oc6 Koa / Oc6 Mariólica / Oc4 Surf Fiji
Yes, Mariólica, my nickname. My husband gave me this gift by suggesting this name for one of the canoes. A way of honoring my beloved father who created this nickname for me and that's what he called me. Up in Heaven he must be very proud of this.
The other tribute was from Oc4 surf to Max's dog, Fiji, who, ironically, passed away a week before the baptism. Fiji stayed in Brazil with Max's son when we moved to Portugal.
And the godparents, who are they? Hmm
Rapa Nui - Max
Koa - Catarina, our team captain who is always with us in everything
Mariólica - Mari, me of course
Fiji - Hugo, the one who made it possible and dreamed with us
Kahuna grew in size and dreams too.
Now it's time to roll up our sleeves, execute all the projects that Max and I have in mind and provide our students and people with incredible experiences.
My sincere thanks to everyone who has always been with Kahuna and who has always believed in us.
Gratitude!!
