Festival Kahuna Cultura Wa'a - 2ª Edição - 2024

Last Sunday, October 13th, we held the 2nd Edition of the Kahuna Cultura Wa'a Festival, a family competition by Kahuna Va'a Portugal, with the presence of the pioneering school in Portugal, Douro Va'a.

There were 8 teams, that is, 48 competitors, with 2 heats of 4 canoes, where the first two places in each heat competed in the grand final with 4 canoes again. It was incredible!

The day before, we had very rough seas, which made us apprehensive about the competition. But everything indicated that the sea would go down, which gave us the confidence to continue with the festival. And in the end, it was wonderful. It was perfect for sailing with a bit of "excitement" and a lot of safety.

We rely on the support boat of our partner, Bork, which always supports and helps us.

We also had the support of some companies, such as:

- Ginger Creative Kitchen, with an impeccable breakfast table with sandwiches, cakes, delicious juices.

- The North Face, Timberland, Guess, Optivisão brands with prize kits.

- The Ovo Frito store with the Bully Pop print also with prize kits.

- Nabil with the beautiful lycra.

And we can't forget to mention the Marina de Oeiras, the venue for the competition, where we have one of our bases, which allowed us to make a good "mess" throughout the Sunday morning.

The first 4 places won a prize kit with several very cool gifts and at the end we also raffled off several products such as: Voucher for 1 month of Personal Training with Eleven Training from our dear Junior, water proof bags, Sea2See sunglasses, Lycra from Douro Va'a and many products from Kahuna, such as caps, fabric bags, sweatshirts, hats, t-shirts.

An unforgettable day where good energy prevailed, the spirit of healthy competition, beautiful disputes in the water, lots of joy, fun and conversation.

A special thanks to everyone who was part of this special day for us. Everyone's great energy made this event a huge success.

It was awesome!

Imua!!
